Product Overview

Textured yarns have revolutionised the world of textiles and clothing. By giving synthetic yarns a look and feel which is more akin to natural fibres, they have enabled 100% man-made fibres to penetrate markets which were traditionally the domain of cotton and blended yarns spun on traditional machinery.

The report examines developments in machinery and processes which producers are using to supply increasingly sophisticated textile and apparel markets. It also presents a breakdown of comparative costs of texturing polyester and polyamide textured yarns in Italy, Japan, China, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand, and analyses individually the markets for textured yarns in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia and Turkey and the Americas.
