This report is based on research conducted by an Eastern Europe working group within the Brussels based organisation CIRFS (Comité International de la Rayonne et des Fibres Synthétiques). Dr Alex Krieger of CIRFS assumed responsibility for the study. The working group was chaired by Dr Francesco Prezzavento of Montefibre. The other group members were: Mr Josef Bachinger of Lenzing, Austria; Mr Joel Crehalet of Rhône-Poulenc, France; Mr Robert Dee of Du Pont, UK; Mr Tim Johnson of Courtaulds, UK; Mr Anton Kossina of Lenzing, Austria; Ms Irene Mingoia of Montefibre, Italy; Mr Tauno Oksanen of Kemira, Finland; and Mr Giovanni Wieland of Montefibre, Italy. The report was produced by David Morris and Deborah Tunney, assisted by Christopher Dee.
Fibres in Eastern Europe: Forecasts to 2000 is the third in a series by CIRFS. The two previous reports were World Markets for Spun Yarns: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2637, published May 1994, and World Markets for Textured Yarns: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2639, published May 1995.
