David Morris is a textiles and fibres economist with CIRFS (Comité International de la Rayonne et des Fibres Synthétiques) in Brussels. His previous experience includes work with the Department of Agriculture in Northern Ireland, the European Commission, the Commonwealth Secretariat, the International Wool Secretariat, the International Institute for Cotton and the International Trade Centre UNCTAD/GATT(ITC).

David Morris writes regularly for Textiles Intelligence and the Economist Intelligence Unit. He is author of Household Textiles, Furnishings and Floorcoverings in Europe: Forecasts to 1993 , Special Report No 2043, published July 1990, and coauthor with Annabel Stogdon of World Markets for Cotton: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2640, published July 1995. In addition, he is a coproducer of two Textiles Intelligence Special Reports prepared by CIRFS: World Markets for Spun Yarns: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2637, published May 1994; and World Markets for Textured Yarns: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2639, published May 1995.

Annabel Stogdon is an agricultural, fibres and textiles consultant working from Dover, England, and Brussels, Belgium. She is coauthor with David Morris of World Markets for Cotton: Forecasts to 2000, Special Report No 2640, published July 1995.
