James Glasse is director of JGA Information Services, a market research consultancy specialising in China issues. He is a graduate in oriental languages and a fluent Chinese speaker with more than ten years’ experience of working on China-related issues. Before establishing JGA Information Services, James Glasse worked as liaison officer at the Sino-British Trade Council, now the China-Britain Trade Group.

James Glasse’s work has been published in more than 30 journals and newspapers. He has also written for radio and television. He has authored a book on China’s economy, and writes regularly for Textile Outlook International and Economist Intelligence Unit publications.
