Stanley Davies is an independent consultant to the textile industry, specialising in man-made fibres. He spent over 25 years working in the industry, first for British Nylon Spinners and later for ICI Fibres. He has held senior management positions in technical as well as in commercial departments, and has worked for some years in Germany and Spain. He is well known in the industry in many parts of the world and, in his role as a textile consultant, has carried out many projects for the world's leading fibre producers.

He is a fellow of the Textile Institute and of the Institute of Management.
