Sri Ram Khanna is a professional academic and a consultant. He is a Professor at Faculty of Commerce and Business at the Delhi School of Economics campus, University of Delhi, where he has taught Marketing and International Business for over a decade. He holds a Masters Degree in Commerce, a degree in law and a doctorate in international business. He was an external researcher for ICRIER and is a member of Academy of International Business (AIB), USA, and The European International Business Academy (EIBA).
He specialises in the global textile and apparel Industry and is aware of the technical, economic, and business aspects of the global textile and clothing industry. He is author of several books and papers in learned journals.
He is author of “Sourcing Textiles and Apparel from India” published by Economist Intelligence Unit (London) and “International Trade in Textiles” published by sage.
With an economic-legal background he has also practised competition and consumer law and has conducted several cases at the MRTP Commission and tribunals under the Consumer Protection Act. He is familiar with the global business and competition environment. He has personally conducted research related to international trade and textile issues in the USA, Germany, Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland in the West and Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore in the East over the past 15 years.
